Q. Looking for a surgeon that has done many trachea shaves !   Specifically in the northeast.  I live in CT. and would be willing to drive to PA to MI.   Can you offer any assistance to this very frustrating question ?

A. I do not know of anyone personally who has had this procedure done, nor do I know of any resource that lists surgeons and the types and numbers of procedures that have been done. What I can do is point you to resources that might help you in your quest. Make use of the newsgroups soc.support.transgender and alt.transgender. Ask the millions of people reached by them if anyone in the northeast has had the procedure done, who did it and how satisifed they were with the results. I will assume you have already done a search of the resources here at TGGuide. But you can also try Anna's Transgender and Transexual Links, TGForum, TGGallery, International Transgender Online Magazine. Susan's Place and IFGE Home Some of these are not only resource sites, but also have message boards where you can post your query and possibly connect with those who have first hand experience. You may also want to contact the major hospitals in the areas oyu are searching.
