A. In order to have surgery, you MUST start with therapy. No Doctor who performs SRS, that I know of, will even consider you until you have a letter of recommendation from two mental health professionals. And none of them will write one until you have been through enough therapy that they can be sure that it is right for you. Also oyu will need to live as a female full time for at least a year before they will feel comfortable that surgery is not only appropriate but that you are ready for it. Your therapist can help you find and determine the other multitude of things you need to do and take care of. They can also help in finding those who can perform whatever other services you require (electrolysis, HRT, cosmetic surgery). I do not know of any "price guide" for SRS. There are a few well known surgeons who perform SRS. I do not know of any "national listing" however of all surgeons who may perform, or attempt to perform such surgery. Your therapist should be able to help you select a surgeon.
